Sharon Forrence

Sharon Forrence has worked for 25 years as a counselor and a trainer for humanitarian relief and development, international education, refugee resettlement and social service agencies.

She has extensive experience in training design, facilitation, and strategic planning and has worked on a variety of short and long term projects with organizations such as Peace Corps, Catholic Relief Services, USAID’s Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance and Democracy and Governance offices, Save the Children, United Nations Peacekeeping Operations and Youth For Understanding.

Sharon has provided consultation and training for organizations setting up staff care programs, and she has considerable field experience in providing direct counseling support - including critical incident debriefings - for US and host country staff during crisis events. She has an MSW from Catholic University and a BA from Boston College.
